Dolphins winger Jamayne Isaako is on the verge of standing alone in rugby league history after equalling the premiership record for consecutive point-scoring games.
Isaako matched the long-standing mark of 94 straight games when he converted fellow teammate Isaiya Katoa’s try and added to his tally in Friday night’s victory over the Roosters at Suncorp Stadium.
The record was previously held solely by former Bulldogs winger Steve Gearin, who scored points in 94 consecutive matches between 1978 and 1982.
Isaako’s remarkable streak has now stretched across four seasons, with the Dolphins sharpshooter recording points in every game he has played since 2022.
The achievement highlights the consistency of one of the competition’s most reliable point scorers, with Isaako continuing to deliver week after week for the Dolphins.
With the record now equalled, Isaako has the opportunity to create history this Saturday when the Dolphins travel to Campbelltown to face the Tigers.
Should he score points against the Tigers, Isaako will become the outright holder of the premiership record with 95 consecutive point-scoring games.
The milestone would further cement Isaako’s place among the game’s great finishers and add another chapter to an outstanding run in Dolphins colours.
