Injury Update: Lemuelu and Stone out

Scans have revealed Connelly Lemuelu has suffered a grade two tear of the medial ligament in his right knee.

It is expected the Samoan international will be out for four matches as he rehabilitates his injury, starting with the Dolphins’ game against the Dragons at Kayo Stadium on Sunday.

“Connelly suffered the injury in a collision with another player,” said Dolphins’ Head of Performance Jeremy Hickmans.

“It is expected he will be out of action for four games, but importantly no surgery will be required.”

Lemuelu suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury playing for Samoa last year, but that was in his left knee.

Lock Ray Stone is in concussion protocol and is also out of the game against the Dragons.
