Injury Update: Katoa undergoes surgery

Isaiya Katoa has undergone successful surgery on his left forearm after sustaining a fracture in the match against the Warriors on Saturday.

“Isaiya had surgery yesterday on the fracture and all went well with the procedure,” said Dolphins’ Head of Performance Jeremy Hickmans.

“He is expected to be out for between four and six weeks, depending on how his recovery progresses.”

The suggested timeline should allow Katoa to return some time after the Dolphins’ round 21 bye.

The Dolphins face the Dragons in Wollongong directly after the bye, and then host the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday August 8.

The Dolphins travel to Newcastle to face the Knights this weekend, and will also be missing Origin representatives Selwyn Cobbo, Thomas Flegler, Max Plath, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and NSW debutant Jack Bostock.
