Brad Schneider is gearing up for his first season as a Dolphin and if pre-season is anything to go by, the 25-year-old is primed to make an impact in 2026.
Schneider has put in the work throughout the off-season, building combinations and embracing the club’s systems as he settles into life in Dolphins colours. When the Pre-Season Challenge arrived, he wasted no time showing his versatility.
In the clash against the Titans at Kayo Stadium, Schneider started at five-eighth, guiding the side around the park with confidence. The following week against the Warriors he shifted to hooker and delivered.
One try from dummy-half.
Three conversions from three attempts.
While capable across multiple positions, Schneider says halfback remains his natural role and one he is ready to step into if called upon.
However, the 25-year-old has embraced the flexibility that comes with being able to cover several positions across the spine, understanding the value that brings to a squad across a long NRL season.
After a demanding pre-season, Schneider said the entire playing group is eager to turn preparation into performance as Round One approaches.
For Schneider, the season also marks a return home. A Queensland product, he admits being back up north has felt right from day one.
“It’s been good to be back up here. Being back in Queensland has been great,” Schneider said.
Schneider arrives from the powerhouse system at the Panthers, where he spent time developing his game alongside some of the competition’s best players.
The experience helped shape his professionalism and preparation, qualities he now brings to the Dolphins.
What Schneider offers the squad goes beyond positional flexibility.
Going into Round One, Head Coach Kristian Woolf backs Schneider, where he said that his strong pre-season hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Speaking at the Dolphins Season Launch, Woolf confirmed that “ he will play” Round one.
Now preparing for his first season in Dolphins colours, Schneider is focused on contributing wherever the team needs him most.
And if his pre-season performances are anything to go by, Dolphins fans won’t have to wait long to see the influence.
