Injury Update: Key players expected to return for Round 1

Representative stars Jeremy Marshall-King and Frank Molo have both picked up minor injuries in The Pacific Championships.

Marshall-King broke his thumb while representing New Zealand in the first game, while Molo fractured his eye socket in his final game for Samoa. But in good news, both are expected to be fully fit for Round 1.

Tom Gilbert - Shoulder

Captain Gilbert is also inching closer to a return following the shoulder injury he suffered in Round 11 against the Warriors, which required surgery. Gilbert remains confident he will rejoin the squad in time for Round 1.

Daniel Saifiti - Shoulder

Saifiti is also pushing hard towards a Round 1 comeback after a shoulder injury in Round 8, which ended his 2025 campaign.

Max Plath - ACL

Plath continues to track well as he works through his ACL recovery. The forward is eyeing a Round 4 return and has made consistent strides toward that early-season milestone.

Thomas Flegler - Shoulder

Flegler remains on the long road back from a shoulder injury. Flegler is hopeful of making his return during the 2026 season.

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow - MCL

Tabuai-Fidow is progressing well after suffering an MCL injury in the Dolphins’ final game of the 2025 season against the Raiders. The fullback expects to be fit for Round 1.

Jack Bostock - ACL

Bostock is also working his way back from an ACL injury suffered early in the Round 16 clash against the Knights in Perth. Bostock is aiming for a Round 10 return.
