Farnworth Claims Top Honours at Dolphins Presentation Ball

Herbie Farnworth has capped off a standout 2026 season by claiming the prestigious Arthur Beetson Medal at the Dolphins Presentation Ball.

It was a night of celebration as the club recognised its best performers and contributors from a historic season, which saw the Dolphins make their maiden NRL Finals appearance.

Farnworth led the honours, taking home three awards after another outstanding season in Dolphins colours.

The English international was crowned Player of the Year with the Arthur Beetson Medal, while also receiving Best Back and the Jesse Bromwich Award as Players’ Player, voted on by his teammates.

Farnworth once again established himself as one of the competition’s leading centres, crossing for 15 tries and recording 166 tackle breaks during another damaging season in the Dolphins backline.

A constant threat with the ball in hand, Farnworth played an important role in the Dolphins’ charge into their maiden Finals campaign.

Max Plath was also recognised twice, named Best Forward following another impressive season through the middle.

Away from the field, Plath received the Education Award in recognition of his commitment to his studies after graduating with a bachelor’s degree earlier this year.

Isaiya Katoa was named the Dolphins’ Most Consistent player after continuing his rise as one of the competition’s young playmakers while taking on added responsibility as co-captain in 2026.

The halfback produced 19 try assists across the season, with his creativity and composure playing a central role in the Dolphins’ attack.

The honour continues an impressive rise for the inaugural Dolphin, who has grown alongside the club since entering the NRL in 2023.

Selwyn Cobbo’s impressive first season at the Dolphins was recognised by the fans, with the winger voted the Wahl Fan MVP.

Brian Pouniu was rewarded with Rookie of the Year after making his NRL debut in Round 12 and quickly establishing himself as an exciting prospect for the future.

Abbey Cleary was celebrated as Club Person of the Year, recognising her tireless work and contribution to the Dolphins behind the scenes.
