Dolphins charities receive $50,000 through Budget Direct Charity Championship

The Dolphins’ nominated charity partners, Chameleon Housing and Yalari, have each received $25,000 through the Budget Direct Charity Championship, with the donations officially presented at the Dolphins’ Battle For Brisbane clash against the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

Throughout the 2026 NRL season, Budget Direct brought an added community focus to matches between the Dolphins, Storm and Rabbitohs through the Charity Championship.

Each club nominated charities to represent throughout the competition, with results on the field translating into valuable support for community organisations and major donations awarded by Budget Direct at the end of the regular season.

For the Dolphins, the initiative has delivered a combined $50,000 to Chameleon Housing and Yalari, supporting two organisations making a significant difference in their communities.

Chameleon Housing provides accommodation and support for young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness across the Moreton Bay region, helping them work towards greater stability and independence.

Yalari provides educational opportunities and ongoing support to Indigenous children from regional, rural and remote communities across Australia through scholarships at leading boarding schools.

Representatives from both organisations were presented with their $25,000 cheques at Suncorp Stadium during the Dolphins’ clash with the Broncos, celebrating the impact of the Charity Championship in front of a sold-out Battle For Brisbane crowd.

The Dolphins thank Budget Direct for its commitment to using rugby league as a platform to create meaningful outcomes for the wider community and for its support of Chameleon Housing and Yalari throughout the 2026 season.
