Judiciary Report: Nikorima facing ban as 3 Dolphins charged

Kodi Nikorima could spend up to two weeks on the sidelines after being charged following Friday night’s clash.

Nikorima was hit with a Grade 3 dangerous contact – Hip Drop charge on Panthers hooker Mitch Kenny, stemming from an incident in the 18th minute. The Dolphins five-eighth was sent to the sin bin at the time, with an early plea expected to result in a two-week suspension.

Morgan Knowles has also been charged for a hip drop tackle, with the forward cited for an incident involving Moses Leota in the fifth minute. Knowles is expected to accept the early plea, which will see him receive a fine.

Tom Gilbert was the third Dolphin charged, following a hip drop tackle on Thomas Jenkins in the 78th minute. Like Knowles, Gilbert is also expected to take the early plea and accept a fine.
