Dolphins launch first ever member ballot for Kayo Stadium

The Dolphins are taking the fight to rogue ticket re-sellers by declaring Kayo Stadium a ‘Members Only Zone’ for the club’s two home games there this season.

With the Dolphins’ growing membership base leaving only around 500 tickets remaining for each game at Kayo Stadium, ticket re-sellers have been snapping up the last available seats and offloading them at inflated prices to fans eager to experience the intimate Redcliffe venue.

But the Dolphins have put paid to those plans by instituting a ballot system that only registered 2026 members - whether they are foundation members or have only just joined - can enter to snare last-gasp seats at the match against the Sea Eagles on Easter Thursday.

Members with Kayo Stadium access included in their membership will be able to enter the ballot to purchase additional seats, while members without Kayo access can also enter the ballot for the chance to secure tickets.

Alternatively, fans and non-members can ‘Beat the Ballot’ by securing a 5-game membership, guaranteeing access without needing to rely on the ballot system.

Members who enter the ballot and are successful will receive a unique redemption code via email, allowing them to purchase up to two tickets from the remaining seating at Kayo Stadium. Prices will vary depending on seat location and availability.

The ballot ensures only members and their guests can attend the match, and that everyone will pay the correct price for seats without the exorbitant fees added on by ticket re-sellers.

“Kayo Stadium is a wonderful place to watch Rugby League, and we have had enough of rogue ticket sellers charging ridiculous amounts for people to experience the atmosphere of the ground,” said CEO, Terry Reader.

“Now our members will be able to buy extra tickets for their family or friends by entering the ballot, or they can ‘Beat the Ballot’ by securing a 5-game membership and guaranteeing their place.”

"We love the fact that we can institute an equitable system like this that gives every member - the very people who know how special our traditional home ground is - a chance to purchase those last few tickets."

Dolphins Members can enter the ballot HERE, while non-members can sign up for a 5-game membership and 'Beat the Ballot' HERE.
