Two Dolphins players have been recognised for their standout seasons, with Herbie Farnworth and Isaiya Katoa earning nominations at the 2025 Dally M Awards.
Farnworth has been named among the contenders for Centre of the Year, while Katoa is in the running for Halfback of the Year. Their nominations come on the back of a history-making year for the Dolphins, with the club achieving its highest-ever finish in the NRL ladder.
At the recent Dolphins Presentation Ball, Farnworth was crowned with the prestigious Arthur Beetson Medal as the club’s Player of the Year. The English international was a constant force in the backline, scoring 12 tries in 19 appearances, while providing leadership and class throughout the season. He also claimed the Wahl Fan MVP, highlighting his impact both on and off the field, and the high regard in which he is held by teammates and supporters alike.
Katoa, meanwhile, underlined his rapid development as one of the NRL’s most exciting young playmakers. The 21-year-old collected two major honours at the Presentation Ball, being named Best Back, while also receiving the Jesse Bromwich Award for Players’ Player, as voted by his teammates. His creativity, composure, and leadership in the halves were central to the Dolphins’ push up the ladder in 2025.
Both Farnworth and Katoa will now represent the club at the Dally M Awards in Sydney on Wednesday night, as they stand alongside the competition’s elite.
