
The Ken Stephen Medal is one of the NRL’s highest honours, awarded each year to a player who has made outstanding contributions to the game and the community through charity work, youth engagement and social impact.
This year, the Dolphins are proud to share that Kodi Nikorima has been nominated for the 2025 Ken Stephen Medal.
Nikorima has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to community service, youth development and charitable work. His contributions are seen both as part of his club responsibilities and in his personal time. He has been a powerful advocate for inclusion, mental health and personal growth supporting organisations such as My People Support, Family First Care and Bro Camp.
Through these partnerships, Nikorima has helped build strong community connections, supporting individuals with disabilities, veterans and young men in meaningful and lasting ways.

Service was a part of my foundation. My dad served in the Army, so growing up I learnt discipline, selflessness and commitment, and that is what I see around the world today.”
Nikorima’s impact is real and lasting. His hands-on involvement and genuine care make him a role model not only within the Dolphins but across the broader rugby league community.
