The Dolphins have locked in a key part of their future with the signing of gun half Isaiya Katoa to an extended deal.

Katoa will be a Dolphin until at least the end of the 2028 season after inking a three-year extension today.

The 20-year-old has shown maturity in an impressive start to his NRL career after joining the Dolphins from the Panthers’ junior system.

The move paid off immediately after Katoa was a shock starter at five-eighth in the Dolphins’ inaugural premiership match last season, going on to log 22 NRL matches in his debut season.

He has already played six Tests for Tonga.

He showed control and skill in the Dolphins’ 38-0 win against the Dragons in round two, and will again lead his side around the park against the Titans on Saturday.
