Injuries forces Dolphins changes for Wests Tigers

The Dolphins will have a brand new centre pairing for their clash with the Wests Tigers in Sydney on Saturday.

Robert Jennings and Jack Bostock will play their first NRL games for some time as the Dolphins deal with a horror injury toll.

The Dolphins are missing Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Kenny Bromwich and Connelly Lemuelu, with all three undergoing concussion protocol.

Hooker Jeremy Marshall is booked in for shoulder surgery and will not play again this season, while Ray Stone has a broken toe that convinced the Dolphins to accept a two-week suspension yesterday rather than take a fine.

Stone’s injury means he is unable to play for at least a fortnight.

Jennings has not played NRL since April and Bostock made his NRL debut back in round five, but both have been rewarded for playing strongly in the Hostplus Cup for Redcliffe.

Valynce Te Whare has been moved to the extended interchange list.

Harrison Graham will come in for his fourth NRL appearance to replace Marshall-King at hooker, while Euan Aitken returns from a knee injury.

The versatile Aitken will play in the second row alongside Felise Kaufusi, as long as Kaufusi recovers from a minor hamstring injury.

JJ Collins has been named in the 17 on the interchange list, with Redcliffe fullback and favourite Trai Fuller on standby for a long-awaited NRL debut as the Dolphins’ 18thman.
