The CQ Capras have been handed their first loss at the hands of the Burleigh Bears on the weekend but maintain first on the ladder.

Burleigh Bears 16 defeated CQ Capras 12

  • Edrick Lee scored the opener and again in the 68th minute
  • Centre Olive Gildart racked up 150 metres and bagged a try for his efforts
  • Kurt Donoghoe slotted into five-eighth after dropping back from the NRL side
  • Burleigh are now equal on 14 points with the first-placed Capras

"It was a good game of footy and a tough contest.

"We had our opportunities in the second half but just couldn't execute toward the back end of the half.
