Rivalry round wins for Redcliffe and Capras

Both the Redcliffe Dolphins and CQ Capras have notched important wins in Rivalry Round of the Hostplus Cup this weekend.

  • CQ Capras 38 defeated Mackay Cutter 26 at BB Print Stadium
  • Winger Edrick Lee crossed the line in his second game back from injury pushing his name for NRL selection
  • Kurt Donoghoe scored two tries at five-eighth, underlying his versatility for the Dolphins squad
  • JJ Collins had another huge game in the middle, running for 204m from 16 carries
  • Oliver Gildart had a strong impact on the left edge with 119m and 13 tackles at 92.9% tackle efficiency

Redcliffe Dolphins v Wynnum Manly Seagulls

  • Redcliffe Dolphins 38 defeated Wynnum Manly Seagulls 22 at Kayo Stadium
  • Centre Valynce Te Whare was a handful all afternoon, scoring a try and setting up another, whilst busting five tackles in the process
  • Halfback Cody Hunter, who completed a preseason with the Dolphins NRL, scored a hat-trick as well as six goals in a career haul of 24 points
  • Poasa Faamausili flew back from Wollongong to start in the front row for Redcliffe and carried strongly through the middle of the parkĀ
