Young forward Mason Teague set for round 2 debut

The Dolphins will have another debutant this week with young middle forward Mason Teague set to play his first NRL game.

Teague has been named in the 17 to take on the Raiders at a sold out Kayo Stadium on Saturday.

He will replace Ray Stone, who will miss the match with bone bruising in his knee.

Scans have cleared Stone of any serious damage and he is expected to be available for the Dolphins’ away match against the Knights next week.

Teague is the only change to the team that made history by shocking the Roosters at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday.

How Wayne got Teague to make the switch

Coach Wayne Bennett has chosen the same 13 to start the game that saw off the Roosters 28-18.

It means Teague will go down in history as Dolphins’ player number 18 when he comes off the bench against the Raiders.

Sunday’s match will kick off at 4.30pm (Qld time) at the Dolphins’ spiritual home in Redcliffe.
