Hot91 partnership takes Dolphins into Sunshine Coast

Hot91 is proud to announce it has become the official Sunshine Coast radio partner of the new Dolphins NRL team.

Today at an exclusive event at Marcoola, the radio station revealed details of the collaboration and the Dolphins’ integration plans into the Sunshine Coast.

This three-year partnership with the Dolphins will provide membership and game day support for the NRL’s newest club, which will enter the NRL for season 2023.

The agreement will also facilitate a host of grassroots and community activations which will be central to the club’s engagement with the Sunshine Coast community.

Alongside partnerships with netball’s Sunshine Coast Lightning, the Brisbane Lions AFLW team and Surf Lifesaving Queensland, the sponsorship of the Dolphins cements Hot91 as experts in the National sporting sponsorship space.

General Manager Rod Winner said that the introductions of the Dolphins to the NRL provides an exceptional opportunity for the Sunshine Coast.

"We know Sunny Coaster's love their sport and we're excited to be a foundation partner of the Dolphins and introduce them to the Coast community."

"From a sports fan, community and business perspective we know the introduction of the Dolphins to the NRL will offer a lot of opportunity to our audience and our clients," he said.

Chief executive of the Dolphins NRL team, Terry Reader, said a partnership with Hot 91 made sense as the team readies to enter the NRL.

“The Sunshine Coast is such an important part of the overall footprint of the Dolphins NRL Team,” said Reader.

“We were attracted to the community links Hot91 has built in the area and see this partnership as a perfect way to amplify our relationship and connection with the rugby league fans on the Sunshine Coast to hopefully be their NRL team.

“We already have planning in place to assist the community and rugby league at grass roots level in the area.

“The Dolphins are proud to be representing not only Brisbane and Moreton Bay, but the people of the Sunshine Coast where we plan to play some home games and build a meaningful presence all year round.”
