Letter from the CEO: Thank you, Brisbane

Dear Dolphins fans and members.

The third edition of the biggest rivalry on the Rugby League calendar is here. Tonight, we Battle for Brisbane.

The support we received from our Phin Fans during the first two Battle for Brisbane matches was nothing short of incredible. Four rounds into our NRL existence, we hosted the inaugural Battle for Brisbane, which we completely sold-out Suncorp Stadium for the first time in any club’s history. A testament to our city; Brisbane not only wanted a second team, it needed one. Our Foundation year saw a sea of red fill Suncorp Stadium bringing the Phins Up movement with it. A sight I’ll never forget.

2024 started with a tough loss against the Cowboys, but your support helped us to get back on track as we peeled off three wins in a row for the second time in our club’s history. Who could forget the barnstorming start to the season last year. No matter the result tonight, we know we can count on you to ride the wave of emotion with us.

We have been labelled underdogs throughout our journey into the NRL and tonight is no different. It’s a label we are perfectly comfortable with. Our team will show up, work hard for each other, and show courageous levels of effort to make you proud. We will never be able to control how others label us, but if we stick with what has been created over the past year, we will continue to prove the doubters wrong.

We cannot wait to host Battle for Brisbane 4 on August 31. It’s a rivalry with an atmosphere only matched by a State of Origin clash and if you haven’t secured the hottest ticket in Brisbane just yet, make sure you get in early to not miss out.

Another match to look forward to is our Anzac Round clash with the Knights on April 28. Make sure to be there as we commemorate Anzac Day with a pre-match ceremony followed by the team running out in our Anzac Round jersey.

Wherever you decide to cheer the team on tonight, know that we greatly appreciate your support. We have the greatest and proudest fan base of all. If you haven’t already, it’s not too late to become a Member of the Phin Fam which is already 28,000 strong and growing. Above all else, enjoy the game and make sure your phin is well and truly up.

#PhinsUp
